Murphy Maize Days is an event I attend every year! The food, vendors, music, activities and contest are always so much fun. Plus, I always run into so many friends, neighbors and colleagues. 6th annual Murphy Maize Days set for Saturday, September 27

Murphy Maize Days is now recruiting food vendors, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and non-profits to participate in this year’s event. “We’re in the planning, mapping and scheduling period right now,” Caitlyn Meehan has said. “The main entertainment stage is pretty well set with the various acts lined up, but we’re still looking for the other aspects of the festival. Right now is the perfect time for businesses, groups and individuals to think about how they want to participate.”

Just like the other 5 years, Murphy Maize Days will be held at the Murphy Municipal Complex from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free along with free parking and free shuttles. There will also be the annual 5K and Fun Runs, but they are adding a 10K this year to the event. “The additional road length is designed to attract the more serious racers and promises to elevate the run’s stature within the running community.”

Don’t forget many artists will be taking the stage throughout the day, along with a Kid Zone, market area, food and drinks, games, crafts, car show and a firework display.
